August little things

Park day exploring the new playground at Howard Amon Park. (The athletic area is an oldie but a favorite anyway.)

Joanna and Scott spent a few days camping with Nana and Poppy. I took the other kids (minus Isaac who had to work) with me to drop them off at the campground and play for a few hours. The camp site was right on a (very cold) river and the kids explored. Then we went on a hike to a waterfall and hunted for huckleberries.

National Night Out

Eliza got a swing for her birthday and had learned some new tricks.

Peter learned to dice stack! He can do 5 easily now. It is so loud, so we tell him it's an outdoor activity and send him to the porch to practice.

Drive to Nana and Poppy's before Costa Rica- quick stop at Multnomah Falls.

Flower cutting and arranging is a regular activity at Nana's

Evening walk at Lewis and Clark Park.

We wanted to go to the swimming pool during the last week of summer, but when we got there we found it was closed (assumingly because of the fair). Although we were bummed, the kiddie pool next door was open, so Scott and Eliza played while Isaac and the others returned home.

School started at the end of August!
12th grade for Isaac, 10th for Amy, 8th for Joanna, 6th for Peter, 4th for Scott and 2nd for Eliza.

Family adventure to find a good paddleboarding place. We ended up at Sacajawea State Park.

We finished our 2025 temple ordinance challenge! Over 550 ordinances and it's only August. I think we need to set a higher goal next year.

Magnet art is always a hit.
